JamnagarCity is an independent local directory and city guide for Jamnagar, Gujarat — one address for the shops, hotels, restaurants, services and places that make up the city.
Our goal is not a modest one. We are building the complete A to Z record of Jamnagar: every business, every service and every place worth knowing about, listed with details a real person can actually use. We started with a handful of categories, and we widen the directory month by month until nothing in the city is missing from it.

Ask anyone in Jamnagar where to find a good thali near Bedi Gate, a brass-parts supplier in the GIDC estates, a paediatrician in Patel Colony or a mechanic who actually answers the phone, and the honest answer is usually “ask someone else.” The information exists — it is just scattered across WhatsApp groups, faded shop boards and search results written for some other city.
JamnagarCity exists to close that gap. The plan is a single, well-kept public record of the city: every shop, hotel, restaurant, clinic, workshop, showroom, coaching class, professional, wholesaler, contractor and public place in Jamnagar — each with a working phone number, a real location on the map, and a description written by a person who checked it.

Why we started small on purpose
We opened with a short list of categories — hotels, restaurants and places to visit — and kept the rest closed until we could do them properly. That was a deliberate choice, not a lack of ambition.
A directory with twenty-six accurate listings is worth more to a real person than one with two thousand guesses. Dead phone numbers, wrong addresses and descriptions copied from somewhere else are exactly why most local directories get abandoned within a year. We would rather grow one category at a time and keep the only thing people came for: information that is right.
Every listing on the site today was added by hand, checked against the business’s own published details, and reviewed before it went live.
How we grow from here
Expansion runs on four tracks at once:
- More categories. Retail shops and stores, professional services, repair and maintenance, beauty and wellness, medical and health services, financial services, wholesale and distribution, import and export, and freelancers and contractors are already mapped out and open for submissions.
- More of the city. Coverage spreads outward from the old city and Darbargadh to Bedi Gate, Park Colony, Patel Colony, Indira Marg, Ranjit Sagar Road, Digjam Circle, Hapa, Dared and the GIDC estates — and then across Jamnagar district.
- More depth in each listing. Opening hours, photographs, directions, price ranges where a business publishes them, and the small practical facts people actually search for.
- More written guides. Our city guides and round-ups explain the choices rather than just listing them, because a good directory answers the question behind the search, not only the search itself.
The size of the site will keep changing; the direction will not. Whatever anyone in Jamnagar is looking for, this should be the page that answers them.

How We Keep Listings Worth Trusting
A directory is only as good as the worst entry in it. These are the rules we hold ourselves to, and you are welcome to hold us to them as well.
- Every listing is reviewed by a person before it appears. Submissions do not go live automatically. That is slower, and that is the point.
- Facts come from the business itself. Contact details, addresses and opening information are taken from what the owner tells us or from what the business publishes on its own website — not scraped from a third-party aggregator and reprinted as fact.
- We do not invent ratings or reviews. JamnagarCity does not publish star ratings it did not collect, and it does not put words in a customer’s mouth. Where a rating comes from somewhere else, it is attributed to that source or it is not shown at all.
- Marketing claims are attributed, not asserted. If a hotel describes itself as award-winning, that is written as the hotel’s claim, not as our finding.
- Descriptions are written for this site. No paragraphs copy-pasted from other directories or from a business brochure.
- Anything we cannot verify is left out rather than guessed at. A blank field is honest; a wrong price is not.
- Corrections are free and fast. Owners and customers can both report a problem through the contact page, and verified corrections are applied.
Listing on JamnagarCity is free, there is no paid placement for sale, and no business has ever paid to rank higher on this site.
